What is Keyword Density Checker?
Check which words and phrases dominate your content. The tool counts single keywords and two- or three-word phrases, shows how often each appears and what percentage of your text it represents, and flags densities high enough to look like keyword stuffing.
How to use Keyword Density Checker
- Paste the article or page copy you want to analyse.
- Choose single words, or 2- and 3-word phrases to spot repeated expressions.
- Leave “Ignore common words” ticked so the, and and of do not crowd out real keywords.
- Review the table — densities above 5% are highlighted once your text is long enough to judge.
Why use this tool?
Catch accidental stuffing
Repeating a target keyword too often reads badly to humans and can look manipulative to search engines. Seeing the number makes it obvious.
Phrase analysis, not just words
Search intent usually lives in phrases like “free online converter” rather than single words, so 2- and 3-word analysis is often more revealing.
Nothing is uploaded
Unpublished drafts and client content are analysed in your browser, so nothing is sent to an SEO service.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good keyword density?
There is no official target, but roughly 1–2% for a primary keyword reads naturally. Above about 5% usually feels repetitive. Modern search engines reward useful, readable content far more than a specific ratio.
Why are percentages hidden as warnings on short text?
In a 20-word sample a single mention is already 5%, so the warning would fire on everything. The stuffing highlight only activates once there are at least 100 words to judge.
